With numerous photo booth companies jumping in and out of market these days couples have to quickly wade the waters of this fast moving, ever growing market and become photo booth experts. Aside from all of the traditional considerations for packages and pricing couples now are faced with going old-school traditional with an enclosed photo booth experience or opting for the new version of the classic with an open-air photo booth studio. Both accomplish the same goals of creating quality images, long lasting memories in a fun fast paced entertainment package. Adult Swim reached out to us to get out the word with social media for their random acts of goodness on campuses across the US. They shared the love with UT students with a free show screening, food, drinks and of course photos! Students could reach out and share their photo love via facebook, twitter, and email thanks to our Social Sharing Station.

The Booth 66 crew was out at the Domain on Friday for the H&M Grand Opening Sneak Peek party. The VIP event was packed with shoppers lined up around the store waiting like it was an ultra hip nightclub they were just hoping to get in to. To read more on the event see the KVUE story here.

Our ultra white booth looked stunning wrapped with the custom graphics that our in house designers pulled together for this launch. With bold fashion looks, great deals and photo sharing on the spot guests were thoroughly entertained and no one left empty handed!

This event was a perfect example of combining the vintage feel of a traditional enclosed photo booth with the modern streamlined graphics and our social sharing station which allowed the guests to post directly to Facebook, Twitter or email the photos to themselves. We hope we are doing our part to help Keep Austin Weird and yet forward at the same time. Here are some of our shares for you. Here is what went down…

- We added a new stock backdrop to our collection, Cream Rose (seen below, Brett and Allison’s wedding at Boulder Springs in New Braunfels). We love this new backdrop as it adds a unique texture and depth to the photos but is still classic and neutral enough to work for a wide array of events.

- We had a proposal at Bliss Bridal Magazine party. So often we are there for the end result but rarely do we get to be there for the beginning of the wedding process. Congrats!

- We added a new member to the Booth 66 family, Ian Harper. Ian has been working in the events industry for a while now and we have to admit we have had our eye on him for quite some time. Welcome Ian!

- Just got in some new great props. We are in love with our new sun stashes (sunglasses + mustache = alter ego).

Thank you again to all of our wonderful couples, vendors friends and corporate clients. 2012 has been a blast so far and it looks to get even better moving into the fall.

We were out on the road and headed down for Travis and Kristina’s wedding earlier this month at the Texas Music Theater in San Marcos. Great band, great food and killer crowd for the booth. Travis and Kristina choose our open air photo studio wedding package when they visited us at the Austin Bridal Extravaganza last fall. Right from the get go, they were one of the most laid back couples we have ever worked with. They choose our stock chandelier backdrop, which we had featured at the bridal show and our design team customized the print design to match their funky festival sheek wedding invitations.

Once again we had the opportunity to head out to Villa Antonia in Jonestown, TX. We love this venue! Having lived in Italy for a year going to Villa Antonia takes us right back to our days on Lake Como. With amazing panoramic views of Lake Travis there isn’t a bad place to set up here and soak in the Texas sky and Hill Country ambiance.

Kristen and Blake chose and off-set print design for their wedding. We love off-set prints as they really offer a cool print look for your guests. That evening we also had a scrapbook package for the couple and included a few photos of our set-up at Villa Antonia out on the patio. The classic look of this event mixed with the amazing sunset and of course phenomenal staff at Villa Antonia blended together to to form an unforgettable wedding. Congratulations Kristen and Blake! We wish you years of joy, and laughter as you look back over your scrapbook and reflect on your special day.

The Five Year Engagement movie synopsis… One year after meeting, Tom (Jason Segel) proposes to his girlfriend, Violet (Emily Blunt), but unexpected events keep tripping them up as they look to walk down the aisle together.

Thankfully, their were no trips down the red carpet aisle at the Walgreens W Swag premier party of the Five Year Engagement. The couples were all smiles and full of love, and popcorn as they struck a pose for us with our open air photo studio, The Social Click.

We had the devilish pleasure of coming out for the Red, Hot and Soul event with ZACH Theatre at the Hilton Austin Downtown on April 21st. Rolling into their 79th season, the ZACH theater is oldest continuously operating theatre in Texas.

The wild disco revelers who turned out for this groovy fundraiser gala treated us to some red hot pics that are seared into our screens like a brand on cattle. This was the theatre’s most successful fundraiser to date and the photos tell the tale. We look forward to many more events with ZACH theatre and give them top billing for their party skills.
